A lost password locks nothing permanently. The recovery link on the form asks for the email address tied to the account and sends back a link to set a new one.

Two small things save a support ticket. The email has to be the exact one you registered with, not a similar address you also use. And if nothing arrives within a few minutes, check the spam folder before requesting a second link.
